EXCLUSIVE: Angel Pinner lives in Addingham, Bradford, and she stands out for being unapologetically herself. But it wasn’t always so easy for her to be body confident
A racy plus size model and drag queen was known as the “weird girl” in school and was bullied for how she dressed.
Angel Pinner, who goes by Angel Bites online, is now a popular content creator who promotes body positivity to her thousands of followers.
But her confidence was something that took a long time to develop and the former unrecognisable blonde girly girl turned goth spoke to the Daily Star about her tough earlier years.

“I was bullied in primary school, mainly for liking vampires,” she told us. “I was always known as the weird girl no matter what I did and when I progressed into secondary school and started dressing alternative it got worse, especially when I came out as bisexual.”
Bradford based Angel, 24, now relishes flaunting her vampire fangs and pointed ears and the tattoo enthusiast loves her alternative aesthetic.
And the model, who also works for a financial company, said she has spoken with her former bullies about what happened when they were growing up.
She said: “Some of my former bullies apologised for the way they treated me and some of my classmates told me they respected me for being myself.
“My message to those former bullies is I forgive you. Life at that age isn’t easy and we all had our own personal demons that we were dealing with.
"And my message to my younger self would be to not care what people thought of me. Their opinions are their problem – and life will get so much better.”
Life getting better has proved to be the case for Angel, who said it took years for her to find who she really was.
The gothic influencer now embraces her curves and in one post to her followers on Instagram, she wrote: “Yeah I’m flat, but I’m still beautiful. Yes I’ve got no makeup on, and I’m still beautiful.”
And in 2021 Angel set up an account on the saucy subscription site OnlyFans to help make extra money on the side.
Giving an insight into the realities of it, where the average monthly income is just £150, she said: “I remember thinking, ‘how hard can it be’?
“Well, it is actually pretty hard. It is very demanding to do physically and mentally. I’m trying to do it better but I struggle to stay consistent with it. I really look up to the people that are consistent and do really well on the platform because it’s not an easy thing to put your mind and body through on a regular basis – good for them.”
Angel has also been performing on stage ever since a drag queen called Dolls Nest gave her an opportunity after telling her plus size people were underrepresented.
She later put herself out there in front of live audiences and said it was the best thing she ever did and that she was now excited to see where drag takes her in the future.
As for showing the world her true self, she added: “I’m incredibly proud of who I am and the style that I have worked to put together.
“Once I truly started dressing how I wanted, I found that I was so much happier and that’s why it’s really important to me to inspire others to do the same and be that representation that a person’s size shouldn’t stop them from truly being themselves.
“Life is too short to regret not wearing that crop top, or a skin tight skirt.”
