EXCLUSIVE: US adult content creator Ava Louise, 25, described herself as a ‘hero’ for flashing her boobs at the Portal in New York City, and said the stunt proved to be lucrative

An adult star who caused controversy when she flashed her boobs at a virtual 'Portal' between New York and Dublin has called herself 'a hero' and said she did it in revenge for a grim 9/11 gag.

Ava Louise, 25, took to Instagram to boast that "I got the Portal shut down" and shared a clip of her stunt earlier this week.

"I thought the people of Dublin deserved to see my New York homegrown potatos," the New Jersey native said at the time.

Ava then shared a clip of her boyfriend "distracting" security, who confided in him before the stunt that it's "unfortunate that people are not acting in the best way" in regards to their use of the Portal.

She then flashed her breasts as Dubliners on the other side took photos.

Ava has now told the Daily Star that her stunt was partly meant as revenge for someone on the Irish side showing an image of the 9/11 attacks to shocked New Yorkers.

"A lot of people are mad at me, but a lot of people think I personally saved NYC from the debauchery of the Irish people and thank me for it. I'm a hero," she said.

Adding that she made around £8k in new subscribers to her OnlyFans immediately after the stunt, she said: "Well, Dublin showed NYC the twin towers, so it was only fair I showed them my twin towers to save our city from harassment."

She also admitted that she wanted "Irish guys to buy my OnlyFans" and added: "I've gotten thousands, and made a lot of money because everyone wants to see what Dublin saw."

After a decision to temporarily halt streaming at the Portal, Dublin City Council said in a statement: "The statement added: "Unfortunately, we have also been witnessing a very small minority of people engaged in inappropriate behaviour, which has been amplified through social media.

"While we cannot control all of these actions, we are implementing some technical solutions to address this."

The artist behind the project, Benediktas Gylys, has since appealed for people to remember there could be children watching on the other side.

Speaking in New York, Gylys admitted that there needs to be limitations to the Portal. "Definitely it's about us humans creating the artwork together, but we need to make sure that it's also family friendly.

"I think everyone should think of a seven-year-old child that is in New York that wants to experience and that wants to connect to Dublin and wave to people there.

"So that was my only request for the lovely people of Ireland," he said.

It comes as RTE reports that in New York, security guards from private firms have been working on rotation since the installation was erected.
