Luna Lovekiss was travelling with a friend to the US when they were both detained and deported after they agreed with immigration officers that they were spicy workers

An adult star has opened up about her "traumatic" experience when she was detained by immigration officers and barred from entering the US.

Luna Lovekiss was 21 years old and going through the motions at Los Angeles International Airport when she caught the eye of the authorities. As she waited in line she claims to have said hello to the drug dog, which grabbed the attention of the security officials.

Luna says she got into hot water when quizzed about her profession, as she was carrying a hefty sum of cash. "The attendants asked me what I did for work, as I was travelling with a lot of cash," she said.

There's lots of quality news coming out of the US .

"I told them I didn't have a job as I was a student, and he didn't like that answer so I was moved into a separate line."

From there, things took a turn for the worse for Luna. "They took everything off of me and started yelling and interrogating me," she said.

Locked up in a cell with others deemed to be trying to sneak into the country illegally, Luna was petrified. "I was taken to a holding cell filled with people trying to illegally enter the country. I was shaking and crying, the whole place was f**ked up," she said.

Luna had no idea why she was being detained, she was just trying to enjoy a holiday with her partner in the US.

But then she was hauled out of the cell, and told her travelling companion had given them some new information.

Luna said: "They said my friend had told them that we were escorts. I was so confused because we weren't. My friend and I had met as strippers years earlier, but we had never done escorting, and were no longer working in the industry.

"When I said no they accused me of lying… I was so intimidated and overwhelmed by them that after plenty of interrogation I agreed with what my friend had apparently told them.

"I wasn't in the right state of mind after being yelled at and detained. I know, in hindsight I never should have agreed that I was an escort, but I was 21 and thought they wanted me to agree so we could move on. That's when they told me that I was being deported.

"They said it was the law that anyone who had participated in sex work within five years of coming to the USA weren't allowed entry."

After reuniting with her friend, Luna found out she hadn't labelled them as sex workers, and the border force had duped them into agreeing.

Luna added: "I was so young and had never been in trouble with the law, the conditions were horrible… we were only given one cup of instant noodles within 12 hours, the room stunk as no one could shower and if you needed to go to the bathroom you were taken with a guard.

"They tell you nothing and if you tried to ask questions they would yell at you and say they would handcuff you. I was diagnosed with anxiety at 18 and I kept having panic attacks."

Luna and her mate were finally sent on a flight out of the States, but despite six years flying by since, she's still not keen on stepping foot in Uncle Sam's backyard.

She said: "The way I interact with the world now is different… I still don't want to risk being subjected to that treatment again. It's just not worth it for me."
