Free agent David de Gea is still yet to find a new club after being released by Manchester United last year – but the answer to his earnings may have been staring him in the face all along
Discarded goalkeeper David de Gea has responded to reports suggesting he could rake it in with an adult subscription account.
The 33-year-old was released by Manchester United in 2023 and is approaching the first anniversary of his Old Trafford exit. Still yet to find another club, it's plausible the Spaniard is examining career options away from the field.
And De Gea has been told he could earn up to £2.1million per month if he were to go down a different route of content creation. An increasing number of sports stars past and present are using subscription sites as a mean to earn a buck – and often for huge sums.

That could well be the case for De Gea, who reacted to a report from La Razon estimating he has the most earnings potential of any footballer currently out of contract. In fact, the approximation – which comes out to more than £24m per year – would see De Gea earn more than he was on at the peak of his powers in the Premier League.
And it appeared as though he might be tempted as posted a picture of the report on his Instagram story. Alongside the screengrab was two crying-with-laughter emojis and the words: "I'm wasting my time."

The former Spain No. 1 was on an eye-watering £375,000 a week for the final four seasons of his 12-year career at United. However, a dip in standards left many with the impression he wasn't worthy of such a lofty expense.
Certain athletes have spun their sports careers into lucrative means of paying the bills outside their given fields. Boxer Ebanie Bridges, ex-UFC fighter Paige VanZant and former professional driver Renee Gracie are among the most well-known converts in the industry.

However, one-time Premier League champion and FA Cup-winner De Gea has the potential to dwarf those figures thanks to his profile. And it may not be long before he's back on the small screens – albeit not as many fans would have expected.

The term OnlyFans free online generally refers to the idea of accessing OnlyFans content without having to pay for a subscription. This can involve various scenarios:
-
Promotions or Free Trials: Some OnlyFans creators offer promotions or free trial periods where new subscribers can access their content for free for a limited time. This allows users to explore the creator’s content before committing to a paid subscription.
-
Leaked Content: Unfortunately, the term might also be used by individuals seeking access to leaked or unauthorized content. This involves accessing content that was meant to be behind a paywall but is shared illegally. Accessing such content can be illegal and unethical, as it violates the creator’s rights and terms of service.
-
Free Content from Creators: Some creators offer free content as a teaser or to engage with potential subscribers. This content is typically limited and meant to give users a taste of what they can expect from a paid subscription.
-
Unauthorized Access: There are illegal websites and services that claim to provide free access to OnlyFans content, often through hacks or other illicit methods. These sites pose significant risks, including legal consequences and cybersecurity threats.
