Former Page 3 girl Jodie Marsh recently revealed she had a breakup because she wanted to live a simple life – and below we look at other glamour models who did the same

Swanky parties, sexy photoshoots and binge worthy reality TV scenes all come with the territory of being an in demand glamour model.

But earlier this month Jodie Marsh revealed her relationship with her builder boyfriend fell apart – all because she craved a “simple” life far removed from her wild past.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star now dedicates her time to working on her animal sanctuary called Fripps Farm. And she told her 461,000 Instagram followers about her recent break up.

Jodie, 45, wrote: “I think this sums up why I’ll never find a life partner. Me, I want a lovely, calm, happy, peaceful life, rescuing animals. I want to lay on the sofa and read books and listen to music. I want to plant rose bushes in the garden and I’m actually quite boring.

“I need a man who understands that my life isn’t all glam and craziness. Someone who wants to chill with me and realises that I can be quite boring but who enjoys the quiet times. I need a man who understands I live a simple life in the countryside.”

With this in mind, we look at other glamour models with thousands of fans who have settled down to embrace the simple pleasures.

Debee Ashby

Debee Ashby, 56, is a 1980s pin-up legend who is one of the original Page 3 stars but the former wild child now lives a quiet existence on the Isle of Man with her husband.

The blonde bombshell, who once turned down a date with Reggie Kray, was kicked out of Coventry’s King Henry VIII public school when her racy snaps were first printed.

She was then propelled into a world of glitz and glamour and often attended A-list parties and was romantically linked to famous names like Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt.

Debee quit glamour modelling in 1996 and went on to be a restaurant owner. Remembering her past, she said: “Hardly a day went by when I wasn’t in the paper. But it was in the days when Page 3 was at its height, then it became supermodels, now it’s reality stars.”

Despite those days being firmly in the past, the ageless beauty still gets hearts racing by selling provocative content on a subscription site called Fanvue, where her cheeky bio reads: “Page 3 girl in the 80s/90s etc etc now run a renovation business as I just like getting mucky.”

Carla Bellucci

Social media influencer Carla Bellucci, 42, was a rebellious teenager who got married at 19 before later finding herself as a broke and bankrupt single mum.

But Carla survived by turning to glamour modelling where she posed for lad mags and even took on shifts at Babestation to pay the bills.

She later rose to fame by blagging a free nose job on the NHS by faking depression – garnering her the title of Britain's "most hated" mum – before making thousands of pounds selling bikini images on OnlyFans.

But in November 2022, the mum-of-four quit the subscription site and she now spends her time with her new husband in a luxury home in Hitchin, Herts.

She has previously spoken about having no friends and she said anything she does publicly is to continue to provide her children with a high quality of life.

Carla, whose party days are behind her, told us: “Someone visited the other day and said, ‘oh this must be the posh kitchen,’ but this has been 10 years of graft to get to where I am.

“I didn’t just start an OnlyFans and ta da… I’ve been grafting for a long time. Ten years after the bankruptcy, I’m now living in a nice big house in a field in the countryside.”

Donna Ewin

If you bump into Donna Ewin today the chances are you will be sitting in the back of her black cab.

The Cockney babe, 53, has been a taxi driver for 20 years. But, as a youngster, she was a Page 3 sensation who later graced the cover of Playboy magazine five times.

She has faced discrimination by male counterparts. And speaking to London Taxi Radio, she said: “Some blokes are fine and others still do get the hump because it is a woman cab driver.

'I'm a 40-year-old cougar — but I look 10 years younger in sexy backless dress'

“I remember this bloke at Tottenham Court Road once, he looked at me and shook his head in disgust. I went ‘hiii’ and really was playing it up to him and he got the hump and drove off.”

The working class former model, who became a mum via IVF, still has her killer curves. She advertises an OnlyFans page to her 13,500 followers on Twitter, where she describes herself as a ‘Page 3 legend’.

She is often admired by her loyal fans and under one Instagram post, someone said she was “still one of the most beautiful ladies on the planet” while a second went: “Donna Ewin never aged, so fit”. Another drooled: ““Wow!!! Used to have your pic on my bedroom wall.”

Maria Whittacker

Maria Whittaker, 54, reached peak fame in 1989 when she was named as The Sun’s Page 3 girl of the year.

The model was thrust into the limelight from the tender age of 16 – but now prefers to stay under the radar since her pictures were staples in calendars and magazines across Britain.

She turned her back on the industry when she was just 21 and told the Daily Mirror: “I was already fed up of being the centre of attention. I wanted a peaceful life so I became an au pair to a family in Twickenham.

"I really enjoyed looking after the children, taking them to the park, and cooking and cleaning the house.I’d pull up in a nice car to the job which would have been the only sign I had done well financially in the past.

"The families I worked for didn't know who I was and I absolutely loved what I was doing so it was a win win .I gave it up after I become pregnant with my first child and became a full-time mum."

Married Maria, whose second name is now Tafari, has three children and she lives in Kent where she is a nutritionist who sells weight loss juices.

However, despite being decades on from her glitzy past, she still gets recognised for her raunchy shoots and she said: “Some are amazed it's me while others tell me I was their teenage crush and now I'm helping them to lose weight.

'I shot 300 adult films in 6 months – I'd take painkillers because it hurt so much'

“I think people are surprised. I love what I do and I love being a full-time mum. I'm Maria Tafari, a mum and a juicing advocate who wants to help people to become healthier and if they need to I will help them lose weight.”
