WARNING, DISTRESSING CONTENT: EXCLUSIVE: One of Britain’s top OnlyFans creators – Lowri Rose – recently announced her plans to quit the platform. Here, she opens up about why

A model is quitting OnlyFans after four years – saying it left her depressed and unable to get out of bed.

Lowri Rose survived childhood sexual trauma but said this made her “hypersexual and erratic” which led to risky decision making because of low self-esteem.

The 25-year-old, from Swansea, is now bravely turning her back on the subscription platform, despite being one of Britain’s biggest creators.

However, the young woman fears she is now unemployable. And she spoke exclusively to Daily Star about leaving the industry.

Lowri said: “It is very hard on OnlyFans – you have people constantly ripping you to shreds every single day. And if it's something you don’t enjoy doing anyway, and there are also people ripping you for it, then it is just awful.

“People treat you awfully in person as well, everyone sees you in a negative way, even if they say they don’t, they do. It is just too much.

“The hate mainly comes from men but it is people calling you names and it is a lot to deal with. I have been called fat so many times when I am not fat. People have picked apart my whole image and it has impacted me a lot and I have had surgery and lost a lot of weight.

“I’ve even had people come up to me and say ‘you look like you do OnlyFans’ and it is just gross. People just think they can speak to you however they want.”

Lowri was brought up in a devout Christian home and had to go to church twice on Sundays until she turned 18. But she claims her religious family disowned her when she decided to sell erotic photographs of herself online.

That was partly inspired from “blowing up” on TikTok in 2018, where she rapidly gained hundreds of thousands of followers from dancing videos.

At the time she was thinking of ways to monetise her popularity and she had a friend who had joined OnlyFans – which seemed like a logical step.

Asked whether she was fully on board with it back then, she answered: “I think at the time it was very different so I didn’t feel it was that much of a crazy decision but now I feel like it was a crazy decision.

“I started during Covid so we were not socialising and I didn’t see how it would have an impact in real life. I feel now it is so oversaturated and people are doing the absolute most to get views.

“It wasn’t as extreme when I started but now you have to do the most obscene things to get views and that then transfers to subscriptions.”

Being overly sexual on a daily basis eventually ground Lowri down – until she finally opened up to a professional about her troubled past.

She got to the stage where she was no longer comfortable with putting her body on OnlyFans – and believes it was not safe to do so anyway because of leaks.

Giving a bleak and candid insight into how she has been coping for the past 12 months, she said: “I was feeling really depressed for a really long time and I was struggling to work which is very odd for me because I have always worked hard.

“I just felt very lost and couldn’t work out what was wrong and I was struggling to do the most basic of things and I was trying to figure out what the issue was and then I realised it was definitely OnlyFans. As soon as I made that decision I was able to get up early again the next day after not being able to get up for months and months.”

Lowri described being initially content with making explicit content but said this changed when she started to process her childhood trauma. And she decided to finally call it a day at a time when she was earning more money than ever before.

As for whether that made it a difficult choice, she said: “It is hard but it is not just the financial side of things, it is the question of what next?

“I decided last year I wanted to stream and I am trying to make money from that now but it is more like what am I going to do after this because you are unemployable basically.

“I could get a bar job and that is fine but because you are out of the loop from working a normal job – I just don’t know what you would do after that.”

Lowri has been writing music since she was a little girl and she recently recorded a new song – saying this was an avenue she was considering. But despite acknowledging that she is “panicking” about her future without OnlyFans, she said she was still much happier because of it.

And if you assumed that she rues going down the path she went on, you would be mistaken. She explained: “I will never regret my decisions because I would never be where I am now if I never made them.

“If I had never decided to do OnlyFans I would still be in contact with my family and I would still be under their control so for me that was a huge change in my life that needed to happen.

"It has made me a very different person and I am grateful for that and I will always respect the industry – but it just wasn’t for me.”

How to Access OnlyFans Content Legally

  • Check for Promotions: Look out for any promotions or free trials offered by creators on their OnlyFans page.
  • Follow Legal Channels: Subscribe through official OnlyFans accounts and platforms to ensure you’re accessing content legally and securely.

The term OnlyFans free online generally refers to the idea of accessing OnlyFans content without having to pay for a subscription. This can involve various scenarios:

  • Promotions or Free Trials: Some OnlyFans creators offer promotions or free trial periods where new subscribers can access their content for free for a limited time. This allows users to explore the creator’s content before committing to a paid subscription.

  • Leaked Content: Unfortunately, the term might also be used by individuals seeking access to leaked or unauthorized content. This involves accessing content that was meant to be behind a paywall but is shared illegally. Accessing such content can be illegal and unethical, as it violates the creator’s rights and terms of service.

  • Free Content from Creators: Some creators offer free content as a teaser or to engage with potential subscribers. This content is typically limited and meant to give users a taste of what they can expect from a paid subscription.

  • Unauthorized Access: There are illegal websites and services that claim to provide free access to OnlyFans content, often through hacks or other illicit methods. These sites pose significant risks, including legal consequences and cybersecurity threats.
